WE APPRECIATE OUR VOLUNTEERS THAT HELP OUT.  WE ARE ALWAYS HAPPY TO GIVE OTHERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN, NETWORK, AND GAIN BETTER WORK EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE CASTING FIELD.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE A VOLUNTEER, HERE ARE THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 18 and up

  • Must be ready to multi-task

  • Must be organized and detailed oriented

  • Must be fast paced

  • Must have basic camera skills

Jobs and Descriptions

CASTING ASSOCIATE: (Casting Director’s right hand) Duties will be to assist the Casting Director with auditions to help select all of the speaking role actors in film, television shows, or plays. They must have an eye and know what the casting director is looking for regarding each particular role to be able to match a variety of actors with just the right part. Job includes helping the Casting Director find clients and choosing who the volunteer crew will be in the casting room such as readers, camera operator, etc. Must have had some experience within casting. Will be asked to attend red carpet networking events. (Must be 21 and up)

CASTING ASSISTANT: Duties will be to make casting posts and notices on multiple casting sites such as, L.A. Casting, Backstage, Cast-It, etc.  Once actors have submitted, they will then call the Actors or Actors’ agents to check availabilities. Casting Assistants provide general running duties in the office, including answering phones, sending faxes and e-mails, etc. There are 3  types of casting assistants in which people can volunteer for, Film, Television, and Fashion.

CASTING COORDINATOR: Duties will be to solidify a venue for auditions, schedule audition times for talent. Most importantly, duties include managing the casting sessions from start to finish making sure everything is running smoothly. This includes setting up, making sure everything is ready to go, keeping time as actors come in and out, making sure we have all the audition files downloaded on a laptop for the Casting Director to review, and wrapping everything up. (Think 1st AD, but for casting)

PUBLIC RELATIONS (PR): Their duties is to simply promote and advertise our company. Duties include managing our websites and our official social media sites.  They also include making graphic designs and posters and coming up with new creative ideas to make the company more visible to the public eye. Lastly, role requires going to red carpet networking events and representing our business (Must be 21 and up).

READERS: Their duties include reading lines with the actors in the casting room. Will be given the sides prior before day of casting session.
